Red Bull AR


The Red Bull AR app allowed users to participate in digital experiences centered around Red Bull beverage releases or events. Within the app, the user was able to find Red Bull cans, play AR games and win prizes.

In an engagement lasting almost 2 years, I led the product design effort for the app, undertook UX/UI for The Winter Edition game and design direction for The Winter Edition microsite.

The main sections of the app were dedicated to browsing activations, locating Red Bull, and receiving brand updates.

To obtain details and instructions on how to play the related games, users can simply tap on the appropriate card within the Explore tab.

Users were able to find the specific Red Bull can required to play each game via the in-app can finder.

Offers, prize redemption and general messaging was coordinated through the app's inbox.

The Winter Edition activation was promoted through both in-store displays and microsites.

To play the games, users scanned the can with the in-app camera. Scanning launched the AR game.

Players compete to achieve high scores and make it onto the leaderboards to win prizes.
